rdn-swarm mobile ("the app") is published by Rdn Labs. This policy explains what the app does with your data — the requests to your chosen AI provider, the download of a public model and price list from Rdn Labs, the ads the app shows through Google AdMob, and, only if you opt in, an anonymous run stats report to Rdn Labs.
What the app stores on your device
API keys. The keys you paste into Settings for AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, xAI, Meta, Kimi, Qwen) are stored encrypted on your device — on Android under a key held in the Android Keystore, on iOS as individual items in the system Keychain. They never leave your device except as the authorization header on requests to that provider's own API.
Run history. Your project requirements, the code generated during a run, the run's event log, and any captured screenshots are stored in a local database on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
App configuration. Your role and model assignments and scoring settings are stored locally.
On Android, cloud backup is disabled for the app. On iOS, keys are stored device-only and the run database is excluded from iCloud and local backups. Either way, none of this data is copied off your device by the operating system.
You can save a backup yourself from Settings → Backup. It is a single file holding your run history and requirement docs, saved only where you choose, and it never includes your API keys.
What the app sends, and to whom
When you start a run, the app sends your project requirements and the code under review directly to the AI provider(s) you configured. This is necessary for the app to function: the providers are what generate and review the code.
That data is handled under the provider's own privacy policy, not this one. Rdn Labs is not an intermediary — the requests go straight from your device to the provider. We never see them. Each provider publishes its privacy policy and API terms on its own website; review them for any provider you use.
Apart from the model and price list, the ads, and the optional run stats report, all described below, the app makes no other network connections.
Model and price list
The list of AI models you can choose from, with their prices and limits, comes from a public price list that Rdn Labs publishes on this website (swarm.reidell.net/prices). The app downloads it when it starts and whenever you refresh the model catalog in Settings. A copy ships inside the app, so the app still works if the download fails.
This is a plain file download. It sends no API key, no run data, and no account or device identifier. As with any web request, the server receives the standard connection details — your IP address and a generic user-agent string. Rdn Labs does not use them to identify you or link them to anything else.
Ads
The app is free and shows ads to pay for itself: a banner on some screens, and a full-screen ad when a run or one of its iterations finishes. The ads come from Google AdMob, run by Google. The ads software inside the app talks to Google directly; Rdn Labs never receives what it sends.
To show and measure ads and to prevent ad fraud, Google collects:
Approximate location. Worked out from your IP address, not from GPS.
Device identifiers. On Android, the device's advertising ID, which you can reset or delete in your device settings. On iOS, the app never asks to track you, so Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) is not available; Google may use an identifier that only works within apps from the same developer instead.
Ad interactions. Which ads were shown and whether you tapped them.
Diagnostics. How the ads software is performing on your device.
The ads software has no access to your provider keys, requirements, generated code, screenshots, or run history. None of that is shared with Google or anyone else.

Your ad choices
Europe, the UK and Switzerland. The first time you open the app, it asks for your consent before any ad loads. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are not personalized.
US states with privacy laws. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising.
Change either choice at any time in Settings → Ads → Privacy choices. The row appears where these rules apply.
Removing ads
A one-time Remove ads purchase in Settings turns off every ad, and from the next launch the ads software doesn't start at all. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. The app never sees your payment details — it only learns that the purchase was made, and remembers that on your device. Restore purchase in Settings brings it back after a reinstall on the same Google or Apple account.
Run statistics (optional)
Swarm includes an optional feature that lets you contribute anonymous run statistics to Rdn Labs, so the performance of different AI models and providers can be compared.
If — and only if — you choose to use it, the app sends a summary of your completed runs containing only quality scores, cost, timing, and token counts.
It does not include your project requirements, your generated code, your provider keys, your screenshots, or anything that identifies you, your device, or your accounts. The statistics are not tied to an identity and cannot be traced back to you. This feature never runs on its own.
What Rdn Labs collects
Nothing, unless you opt in to sharing run statistics. (The model and price list download above sends nothing about you.) The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, and no background telemetry. From the ads, Rdn Labs receives only Google's totals — impressions and earnings across all users — never data about any one person. Rdn Labs has no ability to see your keys, requirements, generated code, screenshots, or run history.
Permissions the app requests
Internet / network state. To call the AI provider APIs, to download the model and price list, and, if you opt in, to send the anonymous run stats report.
Foreground service / data sync (Android). To keep a long-running orchestration alive while your device is idle or the app is backgrounded.
Notifications. On Android, to show the ongoing-run notification. On iOS, to notify you when a run completes.
Advertising ID (Android). Added by the ads software, to read the device's advertising ID described under Ads.
In-app purchases. To offer the Remove ads purchase through Google Play or the App Store.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. Rdn Labs does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
