Refine requirements with the Analyst
Chat your idea into a buildable brief before you spend a run on it.
If you have an idea but not a brief, let the Analyst draft one with you. Discuss opens a chat with the Analyst agent. It asks questions, fills in what you didn't think of, and produces a requirements doc you can review before anything is built.
Start a discussion#
- Go to New Run → Requirements. Open the doc you want to work on, or create a New blank doc from the library.
- Tap Discuss at the bottom of the screen.
- Discuss your project opens. The Analyst has already read the current doc, so if it isn't empty the chat picks up from what's there.
The header shows the Analyst's provider and model and a turn count, for example Analyst · DeepSeek / deepseek-flash · 3 turns. The chat uses the Analyst role's model, so it costs a little on that provider. Change the model on the Analyst role card to chat with a different one.
Talk it through#
Describe your idea in your own words, and answer the Analyst's questions. Useful things to cover:
- who uses it and on what screen size;
- the core loop or main task;
- rules and edge cases, such as what happens at zero, when full, or at game over;
- anything you definitely don't want.
Review the draft#
When the Analyst has enough, it posts a Requirements ready for review card with a preview of the doc. Choose one:
- Carry on refining.
- Puts the draft into the active doc and returns you to the editor, so you can adjust it by hand.
- Puts the draft into the active doc and starts a run immediately with your current configuration.
Approve & Start checks the same things as Start run: every role needs a provider key, and flagged role cards must be fixed first. If something blocks it, the chat tells you what.
Tap Skip → at any time to go back to the editor without changing anything.
Discussing a change to a finished run#
The same chat is available when you continue a finished run. There, the Analyst already knows the original brief, earlier change requests, the files that exist and the summary of what was built. It drafts a change request rather than a whole new doc, and Use this change request drops it into the reopen sheet.
